Ethical Leadership for Competitive Advantage

Wed, 02/12/2003 - 5:00pm

Ethical lapses have made headlines in recent months.  Enron, Adelphia, WorldCom and many others have imploded or faced serious business challenges because of ethical lapses. What can companies do to build an ethical focus into all aspects of their business? What is the role of the CEO and other company leaders in facilitating ethical behavior? And how can ethical behavior lead to long-term success and competitive advantage when at times doing what's right is costly? <?xml:namespace prefix = o /?>

The February 12th MIT Enterprise Forum will evaluate these critical issues. Instant Service, a venture-funded early-stage technology company, will discuss how they apply ethics as a competitive advantage. They will present their strategies for integrating ethics into their business values and practices. We have assembled an expert panel to provide feedback about their approach and guidance for what Instant Service should do both now and as their business grows.
