Brazil, Russia, India and China

Join the MIT Enterprise Forum of the Northwest, moderator John Walsh of US Bank and adventrepreneurs" from HaloSource, Boeing, Microsoft and Starbucks for a thought-provoking look at how companies are pursuing venture integration in emerging markets such as the BRIC regions - Brazil, Russia, India and China.

These four economies have a combined global GDP of over 15 trillion dollars and are expected to dominate the world economy by 2050.  As the political climates of these nations rapidly change and global capitalism is embraced, a new world is emerging.  Our program will explore how US companies are reacting to this and the unexpected challenges and experiences they are encountering in their business (ad)ventures.

Our presenting company is HaloSource(R), whose health science technologies provide reliable, tested and proven solutions in the product categories of safe water, infection control and wound healing.  John Kaestle, CEO of HaloSource, will share his company's journey on doing business with China and India from securing material, to establishing a presence and selling into the Indian market, plus its expansion into Brazil.

In addition, we will learn what powerhouse companies with established relationships in the BRIC region have experienced and how they compare and contrast with each other.   John Walsh, Vice President and Manager from US Bank will moderate the panel including Joe Canterbury, Vice President - International Business Development from Starbucks; John Fernandes, Director, International Business Development - Local Software Economy Initiative from Microsoft; and Dinesh Keskar, Senior Vice President of Sales and President of Boeing Aircraft Trading from Boeing who will provide a variety of perspectives for a lively and information-filled evening.
