Barry Davis
Barry Davis is the Executive Director of Product Planning at Clearwire. He is responsible for driving the front-end definition of Clearwire's products and services for its mobile wireless broadband initiatives. Mr. Davis has over 20 years experience in semi-conductor and wireless industry, and has been instrumental in the definition and strategy development for Wi-Fi and WiMax technologies. Prior to joining Clearwire, Davis served as general manager of Intel's I/O Technology Organization.
John E. DeFeo
John E. DeFeo is President/CEO of CoCo Communications Corp. based in Seattle, Washington.
As a six times serial CEO, Mr. DeFeo's experience touches nearly every facet of telecommunications and medical device industries including start-ups, managing hyper-growth, restructurings, global partnerships, turnarounds, mergers, and acquisitions. He has extensive experience in complex capital financings, having raised more than $1.7 billion in private/venture/public markets. He helped grow the U.S.West NewVector's cellular business from start-up to profitability, with over one million subscribers, $1+ billion in revenues, and covering over 60 domestic markets with 3000+ employees.
He has managed negotiations and formed alliances with some of the most recognized global corporate partners, including MCI, Sony, Hyundai, Harris, Fluor Daniels, Motorola, Nokia, Nortel, Ericsson and Lucent. Mr. DeFeo has been recognized for his keen management style and leadership skills on multiple occasions, including three U.S.West Chairman Awards. He received his ATEE in 1967 and his BBA in 1970 from Temple University.
Peter van Oppen
Peter van Oppen is a partner at Trilogy Partnership in Bellevue. He is also Trustee and Chair of the Investment Committee at Whitman College and formerly served as an Advisory Board member and as a director of the Seattle Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.
He served as Chair and CEO of Advanced Digital Information Corporation (ADIC) and predecessor companies from 1989 to 2006 where he grew the company's sales and valuation levels from below $10 million to annual revenue of nearly $500 million and a cash sale price of nearly $800 million.
Mr. van Oppen previously worked in medical electronics as a consulting manager at Price Waterhouse LLP and as a consultant at Bain & Company in New York, Boston and London. He served as a director of multiple other public companies including Interpoint Corporation, Western Wireless Corporation, Spacelabs Medical, Receptech Corp. and Key Technology.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants on inactive status and holds a B.A. in political science from Whitman College as well as an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.
