Successful Strategies for Attracting Capital

Thu, 05/01/2003 - 5:30pm

Capital is the fuel that enables a new company to get off the ground and an existing company to reach new heights.  Attracting capital is as much of an art as it is a science and an understanding of finance and funding is crucial for entrepreneurs.  Before seeking funds, one should know the relationship between value generation, financing and ownership.  An entrepreneur also needs to understand how to evaluate their own business ideas and determine whether or not they are fundable.  In order to attract capital the entrepreneur must also know how to build a great company with a solid team and common goals, how to be a good CEO, and how to put together successful action plans for all aspects of the organization.

This seminar will explore the various aspects of funding, capital and value. We will discuss these from the stages of idea germination to the attracting of outside funding.  Creative and alternative ways to fund a business will also be explored.  Dan Fine, our speaker, will discuss the funding process, resources available, and the impact of today's market on business valuations.  He will address these questions, and more:   <?xml:namespace prefix = o /?>
