Peter Cohen, Director, Corporate Development, Amazon Web Services

Peter joined Amazon.com in 1997 and has led numerous strategic technology and business initiatives for the company over the past decade. In his current corporate development role, Peter drives AWS’ strategic investment and acquisition activities. Launched in July 2002, Amazon Web Services comprises a variety of services, including Elastic Compute Cloud, Elastic Block Storage, Simple Storage Service, Cloud Front, Simple DB, and Mechanical Turk. Before joining Amazon Web Services, Peter served in various technology-related software development roles at Software AG, a German software company. Peter earned his Bachelor’s degree in Slavic Languages and Literature from the University of Virginia.
